I will never get bored of a golden smokey eye. This one is really easy to recreate! Make sure you subscribe to my channel.
Recently MAC has come out with their pre made palettes. I was never really into them until I saw the Mini palettes such as the one above. This palette is 9 eyeshadows that fit into their regular four pan palette. This palette is so handy for travelling or putting in your make up bag for touch ups.
There are 4 different palettes to choose from I went for the Burgundy one. The shades in this palette are Honey Lust, Poppyseed, Quarry, Antiqued, Embark, #noir, Haux, Star Violet and Sketch. The price of this eye shadow palette is €40 and I bought mine of Brown Thomas . They were amazing it came within two days I would highly recommend them if you live in the Republic of Ireland.
Onto the Eyeshadow look;
L’Oreal Infalliable foundation in 120, Urban Decay Naked Concealer in Warm Neutral, MAC Harmony to Contour, NYC Sunny Bronzer, MAC Soft and Gentle to Highlight
MAC Soft Ochre paint pot to prime, MAC Cork in the crease, MAC Embark to deepen the crease and outer corner. Sketch in the outer corner. MAC Honey Lust all over the lid.
Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Hot Chocolate
Maybelline Color Sensational in 725 Tantalising Taupe.
Nothing that the sun is here (sometimes) It is time to break out the bright lippies!
MAC Morange is the easiest orange lipstick to wear. Because it has a strong red undertone it makes it more wearable and it suits lots of skin tones.
Here’s how I created this look
- Maybelline Baby Skin
- BareMinerals Complexion Rescue in Vanilla 02
- Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Warm Light
- MAC MSF in Medium
- NYC Sunny Bronzer
- MAC Soft Orche Paint Pot
- MAC Blanc Type all over the lid
- Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette Peach Eyelid colour all over the eye
- Benefit Roller Lash
- MAC Brow Pencil
- MAC Morange
Now that I am back to college and the work load is crazy already. I need an eyeshadow look that is quick and easy. This is my go-to look. I start by placing Mac Soft Orche all over my lid as they makes my eyeshadow stay in place all day long. From the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette I use Naked 2 all over the lid and Faint in the crease. It is a really natural eye look and I love it for everyday. I highlight my brow bone with Venus. I line my eyes with MAC Teddy to give them some more definition and to make my eyelashes look longer.
What is your go-to eye look?
I am a huge fan of the naked basics palette. I wear it almost everyday. I love how their matte and warm toned so they really suit my complexion. When I heard Naked Basics 2 was coming out, I had to check it out.
Naked Basics 2 is more cool toned than the first one. My favourite shades are cover and primal. I think they would create a nice smokey eye. I prefer undone to crave as it is a little more daytime appropriate and I find black can be quite harsh.
Its hard to say which one I love more. I love the shades in each palette and I think you would use them all the time.
The great thing about these palettes is that they are so small and easy to carry around, making them your travelling best friend.
I would get Naked Basics One if you prefer warm tones and Naked Basics Two if you prefer cooler pinker tones.
Which one do you prefer?
