Easy Tanning- St. Tropez In Shower Tanning Lotion

I am someone who hates putting tan! I just want to be tanned with zero effort and zero streaks! This tan – the St. Tropez In the shower Tan is perfect for no fuss easy tanning.

I would definitely recommend the medium colour. I feel like the light version is very light and doesn’t build enough for me to feel tanned!

So to use this tan, I firstly do my normal shower routine. Then I clip my hair up and get ready to start tanning. I put this tan all over me when you’re wet, don’t dry yourself beforehand and then I set a timer  for 3ish minutes! It doesn’t need to be rubbed in properly  just on your skin. Then all I do is rinse off in the shower and then dry off!

And that is it! I know some people will think this is more work which it is in the shower but there is no tan smell, you can put your clothes on straight away and the more you use it the darker you’re tan gets and it moisturisers your skin. So your killing two birds with one stone really!

The first coat definitely isn’t very dark but this tan is very buildable and gives you a really nice colour. Its what I wore to a wedding recently and it was perfect. I put on two coats!

What I love the most about this tan is that there’s never any streaks and its very natural!

Have you ever used this tan? Let me know!

Purple Glitter Smokey Eye

MAC came out with a new formulation of eye shadows called Dazzleshadows last year. Most of them sold out within minutes but I managed to get Cant Stop Don’t Stop which is  gorgeous cranberry/purple colour.  When I first used these eyeshadows I wasn’t that impressed I was expecting some serious colour and glitter. The best way I have found to apply them is with a damp brush and then press them into the lid.

To create this eye look I used

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette shade Peanut Butter (my ride or die shade for all looks)

MAC Swiss Chocolate to deepen.

MAC DAZZLE SHADOW in Cant Stop Don’t Stop on the lid.

I used the Maybelline Gel liner to hide my lash band. Lashes were Ardell Demi Whispies!

What do you think of this look? Its a little different from my usual warm toned smokey eyes.

Thoughts on Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation

BareMinerals came out with a new foundation formula this year called Bare Skin. Its is a brightening serum foundation that leaves your skin with a smooth natural finish.

Bare Skin comes in 20 shades and I would strongly suggest your get a few testers before purchasing because the shade on the outside of the bottle is lighter than what is inside. I was first given the shade Bare Natural 07 which is way to dark for me, I went back in and was them matched to Bare Linen 03. That is a huge difference in shades. So definitely test it out and don’t purchase before you do.

The formula needs to be shaken before you use it as it separates easily. A little bit goes along way for this foundation and the coverage is amazing. It can be sheer or full depending on what you prefer.  As for the finish, if you put too much on you can feel it on your skin for awhile but it does dry in and you don’t feel it anymore.

I got the brush that is meant for this foundation and I wouldn’t recommend it, it left my face streaky so skip that. I apply mine with the Real Techniques Blending Sponge (like the beauty blender). Gives its a smooth finish and it really pushes it into the skin.

Bare Skin is £26/€31

What are you thoughts on this foundation? I think it gives amazing coverage and a flawless finish just make sure you pick the right shade.

Recently MAC has come out with their pre made palettes. I was never really into them until I saw the Mini palettes such as the one above. This palette is 9 eyeshadows that fit into their regular four pan palette. This palette is so handy for travelling or putting in your make up bag for touch ups.

The price of this eye shadow palette is €40 and I bought mine of Brown Thomas . They were amazing it came within two days I would highly recommend them if you live in the Republic of Ireland.

On a whim I bought this Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in The Missing Pink. Boots 3 for 2 is completely to blame!

I wasn’t expecting much from this lipstick just something I can throw on. Well I was completely wrong this has replaced my very loved MAC Patisserie lipstick. The shade of this lipstick is a pink nude, A your lips but better shade.

What I love about this formula is that it doesn’t dry out my lips and it wears off nicely. This lipstick applies really smoothly and you don’t need a mirror to apply this shade.

I can’t wait to pick up some more shades from this range.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush

When I saw these  Max Factor Creme Puff blushes, I knew I had to have them! They are hella gorgeous and they promise to contour, blush and highlight. You can count me in. Like everything these day’s all products have to be multi-tasking so let’s see if it stand up to the test.

I NEVER wear blush so this is new to me. The reason why I don’t wear blush is because I am very conscious of the redness in my skin and tend to spend ages conceal in it, so I have never dipped into blush really as I always find it emphasises the redness and let’s be honest, who wants that?

These in my opinions are the drugstore version of the Hourglass blushes. Have you seen them? They are equally as gorgeous! But reading many reviews online I think these Max Factor blushes may give Hourglass a run for their money.

There are 6 shades in the range. From a peachy pink  to brown pink  to berry for deeper skinniness. There is a blush for everyone in this range. I chose 10 Nude Mauve. As you can see this is a brown-y pink shade which I thought wouldn’t bring out my redness. It doesn’t!

These blushes are very silky in texture and blend so well into the skin. And the shade is perfect. It bronzes the skin whilst adding the tiniest amount of peachy pink tones to add a flush of cover and the highlight is really nice. No disco balls to be found here! I really love this blush and for someone who doesn’t wear blusher that is a statement.

What other shades do you recommend from this range? They are €11.49 in boots and well worth the money!
