Thoughts on Brow Threading

Whats is it: A treatment where unwanted hairs are plucked out by using twisted thread.

  • cleaner finish
  • not painful
  • Lasts longer than plucking
  • Gentle on the skin compared to waxing
  • Inexpensive
  • A better shape is acheived

  • the sound I can’t describe it but I find it uncomfortable

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil

Body Shop Oil

What The Body Shop says:

This silky-soft cleanser will effortlessly remove make-up from the whole face quickly and effectively, leaving skin feeling clean, refreshed and clear of impurities. It’s the ultimate time-saver.

  • removes makeup
  • suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers
  • removes waterproof make up
  • leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed.

My thoughts:

It does remove my make up very well after two cleanses. I find the first one just removes the top layer and I then need a second one to fully remove my make up. As for waterproof mascara, I found it took most of it off but some mascara was still there.

Oil:  The oil does not affect sensitive, acne prone skin at all. It is extremely gentle. Don’t be afraid of oil cleansers.

The scent is extremely powerful.

How I use it:

I use it by pumping one pump into my hands and then massaging it into my face dry, once my face is covered in the oil. I then wash my hands  and use the water to turn the oil into a milky texture, to remove the cleanser I use a face towel as I find if I don’t use one and oily residue is left behind.

The Skincare Power Duo by La Roche Posay

It’s taken me a while to find a really good moisturiser and cleanser that compliment each other. These products are both by La Roche Posay.

Effaclar Mat

I have spoken about the Effaclar Mat moisturiser on here before it is for anti-shine and anti enlarged pores which is something I need. The moisturiser is really smooth and hydrating which is something I really look for in a moisturiser.

Physiological Cleansing Milk

This is a new purchase for me. It is actually for very dry to dry sensitive skin but I have combination dehydrated skin and this works a treat on it. As it is a milk it is very gentle on the skin and removes all traces of make up. I use  one pump of the cleanser, I massage it all in and rinse it off with a warm muslin cloth.
