The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil

Body Shop Oil

What The Body Shop says:

This silky-soft cleanser will effortlessly remove make-up from the whole face quickly and effectively, leaving skin feeling clean, refreshed and clear of impurities. It’s the ultimate time-saver.

  • removes makeup
  • suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers
  • removes waterproof make up
  • leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed.

My thoughts:

It does remove my make up very well after two cleanses. I find the first one just removes the top layer and I then need a second one to fully remove my make up. As for waterproof mascara, I found it took most of it off but some mascara was still there.

Oil:  The oil does not affect sensitive, acne prone skin at all. It is extremely gentle. Don’t be afraid of oil cleansers.

The scent is extremely powerful.

How I use it:

I use it by pumping one pump into my hands and then massaging it into my face dry, once my face is covered in the oil. I then wash my hands  and use the water to turn the oil into a milky texture, to remove the cleanser I use a face towel as I find if I don’t use one and oily residue is left behind.

The Repurchase Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk

You know it”s a good foundation when you repurchase it.

Why do I love it

Well the list is endless but basically it’s seamfree finish (it look like your skin but better), shade range, it makes my skin glow something that is hard to do. It is the perfect combination of matte, dewy and radiant and if that doesn’t win you over maybe it’s staying power will.  On my skin (combination) it stays for around 8 hours.

As there is a low SPF in it, there is very little if none of the horrendous flash back face.

What Colour did you get?

Shade 5

How much does it cost?

£35.50/€43  and can be found on Selfridges here,  on House of Fraser here  and lastly Brown Thomas here

Any Dupes?

L’Oreal True Match Foundation (it’s just slightly matter not always a bad thing in my books)

What’s on my Face #1

Usually I don’t do this type of post, I don’t really like to have my face spread across my website! Strangely! But I thought I would share with you my favorite make-up look.

For my base I am wearing Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk in shade 5, on top of that I have MAC Blot Powder to mattify my skin in the T-zone area. For contour I am using MAC Harmony! Quelle Surprise, and a new addition to my collection MAC Soft and Gentle Highlighter.

On my brows, I have MAC Brow pencil in Lingering and for mascara, Lancome Hypnose!

So my base and eyes are fairly basic! but I love this look because the lips are the strong point! Although I am always worried of it smudging but it hasn’t yet. The lipstick I am wearing is MAC  Private Party. This was a limited edition lipstick but MAC Rebel is very similar!

What do you think of this look? Would you wear it?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle

I was never really one for highlighters, I just never felt like I could see them on my skin. So i thought they were a waste of money.
I have tried Benefits Sun Beam and although it did give a slight sheen, I hated the consistency when I was applying it. I felt that it removed half of my foundation that I then had to fix.
So one day when I was in MAC, I tired the MSF in Soft and Gentle. The girls are always so lovely in MAC and will always help you out and teach you how to use it. This is one thing I love about MAC.

At first when she brought out this highlighter, I thought it was going to enhance my redness but to my surprise it left a lovely golden highlight as you can see in the swatch. As this highlight’s shimmer is smooth, you aren’t left with chunky bits of glitter on your face.

I would recommend this highlight to anyone who is a highlighting noob like I am. It really is gorgeous and I don’t leave the house without it.

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser

I have repurchased this cleanser so many times, so I think it is about time I declare my undying love for this bottle of goodness.

Liz Earle strives itself on naturally active skincare. Everyone I have spoken to raves about the benefits of this product. In my expierence and in many other’s the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser has changed peoples skin form damaged , dry, oily, to normal! What’s not to love. This cleanser is gentle on my skin but it removes all  make up and dirt with the help of the muslin cloth which comes it.

The scent of this product may put some people off but I love it. The strong herb-y scent relaxes me in the evenings and wakes me up in the  mornings.

Have you had any amazing results with your cleanser?

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic

This is my second sample of the instant boost skin tonic. I absolutely love this stuff. I really love toners that have a strong herby scent to them and that is exactly what this has.

I use this in the morning to freshen up my face. It is really refreshing and one spritz on a cotton pad does my whole face.

Have you used this toner?
