Easy Tanning- St. Tropez In Shower Tanning Lotion

I am someone who hates putting tan! I just want to be tanned with zero effort and zero streaks! This tan – the St. Tropez In the shower Tan is perfect for no fuss easy tanning.

I would definitely recommend the medium colour. I feel like the light version is very light and doesn’t build enough for me to feel tanned!

So to use this tan, I firstly do my normal shower routine. Then I clip my hair up and get ready to start tanning. I put this tan all over me when you’re wet, don’t dry yourself beforehand and then I set a timer  for 3ish minutes! It doesn’t need to be rubbed in properly  just on your skin. Then all I do is rinse off in the shower and then dry off!

And that is it! I know some people will think this is more work which it is in the shower but there is no tan smell, you can put your clothes on straight away and the more you use it the darker you’re tan gets and it moisturisers your skin. So your killing two birds with one stone really!

The first coat definitely isn’t very dark but this tan is very buildable and gives you a really nice colour. Its what I wore to a wedding recently and it was perfect. I put on two coats!

What I love the most about this tan is that there’s never any streaks and its very natural!

Have you ever used this tan? Let me know!

Sony Lens G Review

Anytime I whip out this camera I always get a million questions about it! Mainly because It is so different to any camera we normally see!

This is a Sony Lens G,DSC-QX10 basically what it is, is a lens that you clip on to your phone or you can have it free standing and it takes amazing quality photos and videos. It is so handy for blogging and vlogging as it’s so small you can bring it everywhere! The reason I bought this camera was because I wanted a fancy DSLR but couldn’t part with the best part of €500 for one, so this was my alternative.

I am so glad I bought this lens and heres why;

  1. So easy to use
  2. Photos automatically load onto my phone, laptop.
  3. Photos are clear and good quality
  4. Can use my phone, iPad as a viewfinder for filming video’s and taking blog pictures.

Lets get into the technical stuff but don’t worry I am a camera novice so lets understand what those fancy photography terms mean to you and me!

  • 18 mega pixels – How clear your image will be,
  • 10x optical zoom and automatic stabilisation, how far away your image can focus in on, and how stable the camera will be after your shaky hands.
  • HD Video

To control your camera you need to download the play memories mobile from iTunes or android. Its free don’t worry!

On Play Memories Mobile you can;

  • change camera settings my favourite is superior mode as in low light like winter and when your in restaurants the camera automatically adjusts the light so that the image is bright and clear. This has been a lifesaver for me!
  • You can zoom, focus. All the basic stuff!

The reason why I love this camera is because its not fussy obviously if you want you can adjust the camera to your own settings but for me I like the superior setting it comes with. Its such an easy camera to use sometimes having to attach your phone is a bit of a faff but the images are then on your phone so you can upload them to twitter, instagram, Facebook your blog. If your in the market for a new camera, I would check this one out,

Its €179 which I think is personally an amazing price for such a good camera!

You can find more details about the camera on Sonys Website

Bourjois Smokey Eyes 04 Nude Ingenu

IMG_4140 IMG_4142 IMG_4143 IMG_4172 IMG_4173 IMG_4169

Bourjois Nude Ingenu (04) is a palette I wasn’t too sure of at the start, I didn’t know if the two brown shades would complement each other. But it is now one of my favourite palettes and its great for travelling as it is so small!

Texture

Super buttery! I think there a little bit of a dupe for the Chanel eye shadows, (made by the same company, feel the same, look the same – confidence I think not!)

Colour

The colour pay off isn’t very vibrant but I really love the middle shade. It is beautiful on the lid. Its a pinky brown which is something I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards but I actually think it really suits me. I wear the middle shade all over my lids on its own for day to day wear.

The shimmer-y highlight colour needs a few coats to give the best colour. Its a lovely inner corner highlight as it is not as chunky as MAC Nylon which is what I normally wear on my lids.

The deepest brown colour I used to just intensify the lighter brown shade on the edges. It is very easy to buff this colour away so be careful and apply it gradually.

My Thoughts

I think this palette is amazing for an everyday smokey eye. At night I would want a more intense colour although this could be achieved by wetting your brush to intensify the colour. The shades in this palette really complement my eye colour and skin tone. When I put the middle brown shade on first I was seriously impressed. It is now my go to eye shadow for everyday! This is extremely unusual as I normally like to wear matte shades during the day.

Price

€10.49

There is a 15 trios for you to pick from so there’s bound to be one you love, you can purchase this palette online here.

Cranberry Smokey Eye

IMG_4005 IMG_4006

Im a huge fan of a smokey eye but a cranberry smokey eye is probably my most worn and most loved smokey eye. Unusual I know, but i just love the pop of colour and its something unusual.

So for this post Im saying embrace colour and let’s get our smoke on!

To crete this eye look, I used all MAC cosmetics eyeshadows. The shades I used to create this look were Cranberry, Sketch (deep purple) and Wedge (soft brown).

1. Apply a primer to your lids, I used MAC Soft Orche surprise surprise!

2. Apply wedge into the crease with a fluffy brush this is going to be our transition colour.

3. With a flat shader brush apply cranberry (isn’t it beautiful) all over the lids. I like to pat it on to get an intense colour.

3. Blend Blend Blend with the brush you used to apply Wedge (fluffy brush)

4. Apply sketch to the outer third of your eye with the other side of your flat brush, you could use a clean one but Im too lazy!

5. Blend Blend Blend the outer corner with the same fluffy brush.

6. Apply wedge to the lower lash line with a pencil brush

7. Apply cranberry to the outer half of the lower lash line with a pencil brush.

8. Voila ladies you’re done!

You can add liner if you wish I didn’t in this picture but sometimes I do. Its up to you!

How to get a Flawless Base | The Make Up Edit

Do you ever feel like your foundation just doesn’t look quite right? Is it too cakey, clinging to dry patches, enhancing those beautiful pores. If so I have some tips to help you.

You will need: a primer, foundation of choice and a concealer.

Let’s go: First of all I would start with applying your moisturiser, I do this so my skin is hydrated. Even if you have oily skin apply moisturiser. It might balance your skin out!

Next its time to even out our skin tone, Apply a foundation that is suited to your skins needs, preference and the correct shade. If you have oily skin use an oil-free foundation, if you have redness/scars you want to cover up wear a medium/high coverage foundation.  Remember that foundation wont conceal every imperfection nor should it. It is just there to even out the texture and colour of your skin.

Let’s  conceal create a V under the eyes with a highlighting concealer to brighten up under the eyes. Then use a full coverage concealer to hide any blemishes or flaws you may have.

Once this is done, you can finally set your make up with a translucent powder of your choice.
