Gosh Shadow Collection in New York

Gosh cosmetics is never a brand I have really gravitated towards but when I saw this eyeshadow palette I knew I had to try it.

Gosh has come out with three eyeshadow palette all inspired by the 3 big Us hot spots – 001 To enjoy in New York (the one I have) – 002 To have fun in LA – 003 To play with in Vegas. Each palette contains 9 eyeshadows in its sleek packaging.

Purple eyeshadows are something I just cannot leave. If you have hazel eyes, purples really make your eyes pop. This Gosh  palette is a purple lover’s dream. Although you might be put off by the purple tones, this palette also offers a lot of neutral colours for you to play around with.

This palette is laid out really well. You can either work across or down to create different looks. The size of these eyeshadows are great meaning you get a lot of value for your money.

The pigment of these eyeshadows are good. You can have a sheer wash or build it up to be really opaque.

These eyeshadows blend seamslessy. They feel silky and are not chalky at all which came sometimes be a problem when you buy eyeshadows at the drugstore.

This Gosh Palette in the shade 001 To Enjoy in New York can be purchased from the Gosh website for €17.99

002 – To have Fun in La is a blue toned palette also gorgeous.

003 –  To play with in Vegas is bright, fun and seriously colourful.

The Newest Additions to my MAC Palette |Blanc Type, Nylon and Sketch

Many of you may know that I purchased a 15 pan eyeshadow palette from MAC so here are three eyeshadows I picked up on my latest trip! I only have four spaces left in my palette! Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated.

Blanc Type (matte white)

Nylon (Shimmery cream)

Sketch (deep purple)

Where I use them?

I use Blanc Type as a highlight on my brow bone as I prefer a matte highlight there.

Nylon is the perfect inner corner highlight!

Sketch is the perfect colour to deepen a smoky eye, to give  some more definition in the crease.

Review and Dupes of MAC Pressed Blot Powder

I bought this product as I was fed up with my shiny T-Zone that alway decides to join me at around 11am on the dot. I bought this in a MAC store but you can find this blot powder online here for $25/£15.  There are 5 shades ranging from Light to Deep Dark.

How does this work?

It contains Mica and Silica to absorb oil and reduce shine.

Does it really work?

Yes, I find that it does reduce my shiny forehead. I did use this all over to set my make-up  a few times but I have found I just prefer it on my T-Zone. A powder puff does come with it but I prefer to use a big fluffy ecotools brush.

How long will it last?

As I only use this on my T-zone a few times a day. I think this is going to last me a very long time.

Any Dupes?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle

I was never really one for highlighters, I just never felt like I could see them on my skin. So i thought they were a waste of money.
I have tried Benefits Sun Beam and although it did give a slight sheen, I hated the consistency when I was applying it. I felt that it removed half of my foundation that I then had to fix.
So one day when I was in MAC, I tired the MSF in Soft and Gentle. The girls are always so lovely in MAC and will always help you out and teach you how to use it. This is one thing I love about MAC.

At first when she brought out this highlighter, I thought it was going to enhance my redness but to my surprise it left a lovely golden highlight as you can see in the swatch. As this highlight’s shimmer is smooth, you aren’t left with chunky bits of glitter on your face.

I would recommend this highlight to anyone who is a highlighting noob like I am. It really is gorgeous and I don’t leave the house without it.
